In response to the tender arranged by the Regional Government of Andalucia Department of Finance and Treasury, the companies group formed by Alfa Renta y Patrimonio S.L., Hevisa Consultor\u00eda y Gesti\u00f3n S.A and Gesti\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica Inmobiliaria, all of which are Andalusian companies with wide experience and great tradition, has submitted a competitive offer for turning the Miramar Palace in M\u00e1laga into a hotel establishment.
\nThe Miramar Palace, opened by King Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenia as the Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias hotel, has had many uses during its existence, and has been used as the M\u00e1laga Court building following its purchase and rehabilitation by the State in 1982.<\/p>\n
The proposal submitted by this companies group is aimed at restoring the past splendour of the building, constructed between 1921 and 1926 based on the project of the architect Fernando Guerrero Strachan, while also adapting it to the to the needs and requirements of quality and comfort that are so essential in luxury hotel establishments of today, in accordance with an ambitious plan.<\/p>\n
For this purpose, the group proposes the radical transformation of the common spaces and uses of the establishment, in an important commitment to health and beauty, by consolidating the gastronomic offering through three haute cuisine restaurants, setting up a hotel management and tourism training centre and adding large spaces for social events as well as the creation of an executive floor with an important business centre. The estimated cost of the operation is 22,455,000 euros.<\/p>\n
The group has submitted this proposal, which applies criteria based on Malagan uses and customs but with the functionality of the 21st century, in response to the tender arranged by the Regional Government of Andalucia, in which it interprets the tender as an opportunity for the restoration of an emblematic building in M\u00e1laga by and for the community of Andalusia. The result of the tender will be known in a few weeks\u2019 time.<\/p>\n
