The company is taking part in ZEM2ALL, an international project set up to investigate different non-polluting mobility options
\nWork to install three \u201cWall Box\u201d charging stations at the Sando offices in Malaga was completed this week. These stations will supply energy for electric cars. Sando is one of the companies taking part in the pilot scheme Zero Emissions Mobility To All (ZEM2ALL).<\/p>\n
The ZEM2ALL project or Mobility with Zero Emissions To All consists of a group whose aim it will be to study how electric mobility free from polluting emissions works and Malaga is the venue which has been selected for this worldwide experiment to take place. The initiative came about thanks to NEDO, a Japanese public governmental body dedicated to developing new energy and technology.<\/p>\n
The Wall Box charging stations which belong to Endesa are situated in the exterior parking zone at the Sando building. The stations will allow cars to be charged even in poor weather conditions and are equipped with display panels which can provide specific information such as user ID, the amount of energy supplied or warnings of a problem, to name but a few.<\/p>\n
The nominal voltage is 230 volt AC, single phase, which will allow batteries to be fully recharged in about 6 or 7 hours. Every company employee who will be using an electric car will have a personalised card.<\/p>\n
Sando began talks to join the ZEM2ALL programme in 2011 and have supported this sustainable project since the onset. The company is expecting delivery of four Mitsubishi iMiEV cars in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
