The Governing Board of Seville City Council has commissioned Sando Construcci\u00f3n<\/a>, in a joint venture with Conacon<\/a> Sando and Althenia Sando<\/a>, to carry out the first works on the tramway for 20.7 million euros, a project co-financed by European funds. <\/p>\n\n The tramway project aims to create a new platform reserved exclusively for zero-emission electric buses, offering a sustainable and efficient mobility alternative to the heart of Seville\u2019s capital. <\/p>\n\n Sando\u2019s work focuses on the first phase, constructing an 8.2-kilometre route to connect the Santa Justa Railway<\/a> station with the neighbourhoods of Seville East and Torreblanca. For this section, one lane reserved for buses will be 4 metres wide, and the rest will be at least 3 metres wide. <\/p>\n\n The works will include constructing fourteen stops between each of its ends and will be carried out with a view to universal accessibility both at the stops and in the rest of the urban development work. These works will enable a service providing transport coverage to more than 100,000 people living in Seville East-Alcosa-Torreblanca\u2019s district. <\/p>\n\n The execution of this project in a joint venture between three of Sando\u2019s companies will allow it to offer Seville City Council the high technical specialisation of each of its teams: Sando Construcci\u00f3n for the execution of sustainable infrastructures<\/a>, Conacon Sando specialising in urban conservation<\/a> works and specific energy works, and Althenia<\/a> Sando for the planned environmental actions<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n Teams that have led major engineering projects in transport infrastructures, both nationally and internationally. <\/p>\n\nA sustainable transport infrastructure <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
