{"id":45173,"date":"2024-11-06T10:44:36","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T10:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sando.com\/actualidad\/luis-sanchez-manzano-sando-ceo-presents-the-book-sando-50-anos-construyendo-futuro-at-the-ceoe-headquarters"},"modified":"2025-01-14T14:21:30","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T14:21:30","slug":"luis-sanchez-manzano-sando-ceo-presents-the-book-sando-50-anos-construyendo-futuro-at-the-ceoe-headquarters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sando.com\/en\/actualidad\/luis-sanchez-manzano-sando-ceo-presents-the-book-sando-50-anos-construyendo-futuro-at-the-ceoe-headquarters","title":{"rendered":"Luis S\u00e1nchez Manzano, Sando CEO presents the book Sando, 50 a\u00f1os construyendo futuro at the CEOE headquarters"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Antonio Garamendi, president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE), has highlighted the company\u2019s \u201cfive decades of brilliant business track record.\u201d<\/em><\/h3>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>\u201cConstruction, thanks to the work of companies like Sando, helped modernise Spain\u201d, said Pedro Fern\u00e1ndez Al\u00e9n, president of the National Construction Confederation<\/em><\/h3>\n\n<p>Sando\u2019s CEO, Luis S\u00e1nchez Manzano, presented the book Sando, <em>50 a\u00f1os construyendo futuro<\/em>  years building the future, commemorating the company\u2019s 50th anniversary of incorporation at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceoe.es\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CEOE<\/a> headquarters, accompanied by the CEOE president, Antonio Garamendi, and the President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cnc.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Construction Confederation<\/a>, Pedro Fern\u00e1ndez Al\u00e9n.<\/p>\n\n<p>During the presentation, S\u00e1nchez Manzano recounted the main milestones of these five decades, focusing on the figure of the company\u2019s founder and honorary chairman, Jos\u00e9 Luis S\u00e1nchez Dom\u00ednguez, and his entrepreneurial nature: \u201cIn these 50 years, we have experienced good times, but also difficult times, and we have overcome them thanks to our values and the people who have been and are part of this company\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<p>He also commented on how the company\u2019s evolution has gone hand in hand with the growth and development of Spanish society, participating in the execution of the country\u2019s main infrastructures and services: \u201cWe have tried to do this responsibly with our social and environmental surroundings, focusing on quality, innovation and <a href=\"\/en\/sustainability\" title=\"Sustainable and efficient environmental solutions\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainability<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<p>After a video commemorating the anniversary, Pedro Fern\u00e1ndez Al\u00e9n talked about Sando\u2019s track record, comparing it with the industry\u2019s current situation: \u201cHalf a century giving prestige to a sector that urgently needs an Action Plan, and to end the unfair bad image it must cover the lack of workers we are suffering, which is alarming and paradoxical, as construction is becoming more modern, dynamic and sustainable every day. A sector which, thanks to the work of companies such as Sando, helped modernise Spain. And that, thanks to its commitment to the latest construction techniques, it will be decisive in advancing the ecological and digital transition. A sector that needs very little to do a lot.<\/p>\n\n<p>In conclusion, during his speech, the CEOE President highlighted \u201cthe company\u2019s five decades of brilliant business history\u201d while affirming that \u201cSando has contributed to the shaping and structuring of the country over all these years, improving the quality of life of its citizens\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>50 years building the future<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The book <em>Sando, 50 construyendo futuro<\/em> has five chapters covering the main events that have taken place in the company over the last five decades. The author, journalist Pedro Luis G\u00f3mez, traces a historical account at the beginning of the book and then focuses on the people who have made it possible to reach this anniversary. <\/p>\n\n<p>This editorial project has been directed towards the company\u2019s human capital, the team of more than two thousand professionals that make up the company. In this way, the book shows the company\u2019s track record in almost a hundred testimonies of people who tell this story from different points of view and profiles. <\/p>\n\n<p>The last chapter sets out the company\u2019s future plans, oriented towards the Strategic Plan and its social and ethical governance principles. It focuses on Sando\u2019s vocation as a driver of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sando.com\/en\/sustainability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer
