Building resilient and innovative infrastructures.\" target=\"_blank\">Sando Agua<\/a>, which specialises in the <a href=\"\/en\/specialisations\/integral-water-cycle\" title=\"Integral water cycle\" target=\"_blank\">Integral water cycle<\/a>, has concluded the PREDICTEDAR research project. This study developed a new model for predictive and sustainable maintenance of wastewater treatment plants (EDAR) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). <\/p>\n\n<p>The PREDICTEDAR project was financed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corporaciontecnologica.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CTA <\/a>(Technological Corporation of Andalusia) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdti.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDTI <\/a>(Centre for the Development of Technological Innovation). It involved the collaboration of the company Facsa and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ipmlab.ugr.es\/es\/principal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Granada&#8217;s Intelligent Forecasting Laboratory.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n<p>The application of the PREDICTEDAR project leads to significant maintenance cost savings by addressing various factors. First, it reduces energy consumption, increases EDAR&#8217;s self-sufficiency rates, and boosts biogas generation. Second, it enhances reliability, preventing service interruptions and ensuring that poorly treated water is not discharged.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Added Value in the Integral Water Cycle<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The results of the PREDICTEDAR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sando.com\/en\/innovation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">research<\/a> project add value to Sando Agua&#8217;s management of the integral water cycle. By implementing AI, the maintenance and conservation of water infrastructure are optimised, minimising risks and unforeseen issues and reducing both needs and costs.
