The service will begin next week, on Wednesday, 15 October, with a budget of 800,000 euros per year. <\/p>\n\n<p>According to the Mayor, this new agreement aims to achieve more efficient management of incidents, road repairs and damage in public spaces through Conacon Sando, to improve communication with residents and to ensure faster response times.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cOne of our key objectives with this investment is to eliminate architectural and urban barriers to improve accessibility for all citizens, minimise the deterioration and ageing of public infrastructure, and ensure the physical and functional preservation of municipal buildings and schools,\u201d explained the Mayor.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Efficient conservation and maintenance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Managed by the Department of Public Works and General Services, this contract also includes repairs to damage on municipal <a href=\"\/en\/specialisations\/transport-infrastructure\/transport-and-mobility\/roads\" title=\"We build and renovate highways, freeways and roads\" target=\"_blank\">Roads<\/a>, the renovation and maintenance of urban pavements, and improvements to safety and quality for <a href=\"\/en\/specialisations\/urban-conservation-and-smart-cities\/traffic-and-urban-mobility\" title=\"Urban mobility and traffic solutions\" target=\"_blank\">Urban mobility<\/a>. The Town Council has emphasised that the project also aims to reduce road maintenance costs and shorten response times to incidents. <\/p>\n\n<p>Conacon Sando will deliver a fully integrated maintenance service across the municipality. As the Councillor for General Services, Sergio D\u00edaz, highlighted during the signing: \u201cThis contract will also strengthen maintenance along the coastline, allowing us to improve continuity between public walkways and the beach, ensure adequate accessibility and maintain beach facilities.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<p>The contract also includes the maintenance of riverbeds and stream outlets, and the proper upkeep of municipal facilities. A citizen service platform will be available through the Gecor mobile app, allowing residents to report incidents directly.
