Sando Conservación y Energía executes the comprehensive renovation of Huéscar’s public lighting, incorporating state-of-the-art LED technology, point-to-point remote management systems and sensorization aimed at improving energy efficiency and urban safety in the municipality.

More than 1,500 smart luminaires for a more efficient and sustainable city

Sando Conservation and Energy replaces the existing lighting system with high-efficiency LED technology, improving lighting levels in public spaces and optimizing the performance of the installation throughout the municipality.

The action reinforces the commitment of the Huéscar City Council to the energy transition: it reduces emissions associated with electricity consumption, increases the safety and comfort of residents and visitors, and provides the municipality with an infrastructure prepared for its future needs.

Main actions of the project

Renovation of street lighting

Replacement of 1,547 existing luminaires with new energy-efficient LED equipment, improving the performance of the installation and reducing municipal electricity consumption.

Reducing light pollution

The new luminaires incorporate a colour temperature of 2,200 K and a flow to the upper hemisphere of less than 1%, directing the light mainly towards the ground and minimising the impact on the night-time environment.

Intelligent Remote Management System

The action incorporates point-to-point remote management systems in 767 lanterns, 709 street lights and 71 projectors, allowing the monitoring, control and optimization of the operation of the lighting in real time.

Sensorized pedestrian crossings

Installation of sensors that automatically regulate the luminous flux according to the presence of pedestrians, improving road safety.

Modernization of the electrical infrastructure

The project includes actions on 27 command centers, new conduits, civil works and the updating of the municipal lighting inventory.
