Building a common project since 1974
History
A history of relentless effort and a commitment to quality and innovation that has enabled the business group to adapt to the challenges of the past five decades and grow.
Sando has become a leader in the sustainable execution of infrastructure projects and in the provision of maintenance, environmental, and energy services thanks to the initiative launched by entrepreneur José Luis Sánchez Domínguez, who founded Construcciones Sánchez Domínguez, Sando, in 1974.
Over the years, the company has maintained its position as a leading player in Spain’s infrastructure sector, participating in key projects that have helped drive the country’s economic and social growth and development, as well as in the delivery of infrastructure and services in other international markets.
Starting with civil engineering and building construction, Sando has pursued a strategy of continuous diversification into other sectors, maintaining the quality standards necessary to compete in various markets, with the ongoing goal of achieving excellence and customer satisfaction
Its main brands—Sando Infraestructuras y Proyectos, Sando Conservación y Energía, Sando Materiales, and Sando Water—are recognized leaders in their respective sectors, synonymous with reliability, and guided by its Sustainability Master Plan, which aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
Throughout this ongoing evolution, Sando has remained committed to becoming a leader in promoting health and safety and raising social awareness regarding these issues, both among its own professionals and among its partner companies. This strategy is driven by ongoing training, innovation, and the development of research projects.
In this regard, since the creation of the Sando Foundation in 2006, the company has expanded its corporate social responsibility efforts and has been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, both through the parent company of the business group and through its foundation.
