Sando continues to consolidate its commitment to Sustainability by adhering to three strategic initiatives driven by the United Nations Global Compact. These projects, which are international in scope, are part of the 2025-2028 Sustainability Master Plan and reinforce the company’s actions in key areas such as responsible supply chain management, respect for human rights and decarbonisation.
In the field of human rights, Sando joins for the first time the Business and Human Rights accelerator program, a global training initiative aimed at integrating due diligence in business management. Over the course of six months, professionals from the company will address the identification, prevention and management of human rights impacts, in line with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.
This participation is particularly relevant in the current European regulatory context, marked by the development of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). With this initiative, Sando advances in anticipating and adapting to new regulatory requirements, reinforcing its responsible governance model.
In parallel, the company has joined the Climate Ambition Accelerator program, focused on the definition and execution of business strategies to reduce emissions. This project facilitates access to international best practices and specialized training for the establishment of climate objectives aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Participation in this programme places Sando in line with national and international energy transition policies, contributing to the development of a solid and competitive climate strategy based on the effective reduction of its carbon footprint.
In the field of the value chain, Sando participates for the second consecutive year in the Training Program: Sustainable Suppliers, an initiative promoted by the UN Global Compact Spain, ICEX and the ICO Foundation. This programme, considered an international benchmark in sustainability applied to the supply chain, brings together thousands of companies and professionals in its fourth edition, with Sando among the 54 driving forces that promote this network.
The company thus consolidates its commitment to the training of its supplier ecosystem, after a first participation with outstanding results in terms of reach and involvement. In this new edition, Sando has the adhesion of 44 direct suppliers, reinforcing the impact of the program in its value chain.
These three initiatives are part of Sando’s Sustainability Master Plan, structured around the axes of Leadership, Planet and People, and aimed at generating value through ethics, innovation, efficiency and social commitment.
With this set of actions, Sando continues to make progress in the integration of sustainability into its business model, reinforcing its position as a company committed to global challenges and the creation of long-term value.
