Acoustic conditioning of the Alcazaba Tunnel
Work on the acoustic conditioning project for the Alcazaba tunnel.
The acoustic conditioning project of the Alcazaba tunnel consists of rehabilitating the entire space to improve acoustic conditioning and favour the reduction of atmospheric pollution required by legislation.
The specifications include reconditioning road traffic with decreased vehicle traffic on one lane and extending the pedestrian area to create a friendlier and more attractive space for citizens. For this purpose, Conacon Sando uses a system of acoustic partitions sewn with concrete ribs to create a pedestrian-friendly and inviting space.
Sound-reducing flooring
Other measures proposed in the acoustic upgrading project for the Alcazaba tunnel include replacing the regular asphalt in the traffic lanes with a sound-reducing or porous pavement and lining the vault with a sound-absorbing render to improve acoustics. The space’s acoustics will also be complemented with piped music, providing the route with an audio system.
