Project 11/02 to update the project for the stilling basin and treatment of the banks downstream of the Cuevas de Almanzora dam. Almeria.

Contracting authority: Directorate-General for Hydraulic Works and Water Quality of the Ministry of the Environment

The Cuevas del Almanzora dam stilling basin project focuses on the environmental and landscape restoration of the rowing channel and adjoining areas to minimise environmental impact. It includes the hydrological correction of the different basins and water lines that contribute the collected flows directly to the recent canal and their maintenance.

To construct the stilling basin of the Cuevas del Almanzora dam, 368,035 m3 of embankment and 1,460,240.68 m3 of cuttings were built, and 95,149.15m3 were blasted.
