With a treatment capacity of 8.000 m3/day, the Ecija Wastewater Treatment Plant (Ecija WWTP) consists of a pre-treatment building with coarse roughing channels, fine screens, sand removal and degreasing bridges with motorised blowers, a sand washer and a grease concentrator; oxidation channels with aeration rotors, secondary decanters and chlorination labyrinth; sludge dewatering building, gravity thickener, dewatered sludge storage hopper and deodorisation system; and transformation and control centre building, laboratory and workshop.
