Sando Infraestructuras y Proyectos is carrying out the refurbishment of the SingleHome building at the Quirónsalud hospital in Marbella, in response to the hospital’s objective of expanding its facilities with the addition of this building, in order to have a new space of almost 17,000 metres dedicated to its outpatient area.

The new building, located on the Manuel Haro roundabout at the entrance to the port of La Bajadilla,span houses paediatric emergencies on the ground floor and diagnostic imaging in basement minus one. The work is being carried out in several phases: on the ground floor and in the basement minus one. The first phase of the work focuses on the ground floor, with the refurbishment of the paediatric consultation and emergency rooms, and the second phase of the work on the extraction rooms and the day hospital.

The third phase is also being carried out on level minus one with the installation of a diagnostic imaging room. Finally, in the last phase, a new diagnostic imaging room will be installed. in the remodelling work on the main lobby. In addition, in parallel to the execution of the second and third phases of the project, the following works are being carried out in the urbanisation works linked to each area of action.

Recognised expertise in health infrastructures

This project is part of Sando’s specific business line for the construction and installation of equipment for health and hospital facilities. This is a business area in which the company has extensive experience in the construction of this type of infrastructure, such as: the extension of the Hospitén in Estepona; the Tajo hospital in Aranjuez; the construction of a footbridge connecting the four hospitals that make up the campus of the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital; the construction of the new laboratories of the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid; and the remodelling of the Puerta del Mar University Hospital in Cádiz, among others.
