Fundación Sando has donated recycled furniture to the Asociación Benéfica Casa Solidaria a las Naciones, a charitable organisation based in Seville. The donation includes 90 armchairs from the hotel Sevilla Palmera, managed by the Sando business group. These items will help improve the association’s facilities and provide greater comfort for its beneficiaries.
This initiative forms part of Fundación Sando’s Sustainability policy, aligned with the principles of the circular economy. By repurposing furniture, the Foundation not only supports a charitable cause but also promotes responsible and sustainable practices—in line with ESG criteria and its longstanding commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, of which it has been a member for over 15 years. The action directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and specifically its fifth target on Waste reduction, recycling, and reuse.
The Asociación Benéfica Casa Solidaria a las Naciones, located in Coria del Río (Seville), is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged families and individuals at risk of social exclusion. Its activities include collecting and distributing clothing, providing advice to families and people with addiction issues, recovering and delivering food, and collaborating with other charitable organisations. The association also runs initiatives to help children—one of the most vulnerable social groups—by distributing food, clothing and toys.
This latest initiative adds to a series of actions carried out by Fundación Sando in 2024, including: The donation of construction materials for students in the Basic Vocational Training Course in Building Renovation and Maintenance at the IES José María Torrijos de Málaga. The donation of refurbished laptops to several schools in Seville, such as Juan Nepomuceno Rojas, supporting student learning and contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education. These initiatives reaffirm Fundación Sando’s commitment to sustainable development, social inclusion, and responsible resource use.
