Althenia Sando has been awarded the contract for cleaning services across the ports managed by the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for a period of three years.
Valued at €5.49 million, the contract covers the comprehensive cleaning of port facilities, including common areas, operational zones, and public-use spaces within the ports of general interest under the Port Authority’s jurisdiction.
The scope of the contract includes cleaning services for port areas such as Roads, esplanades, plots, surfaces, lighthouses, buildings, and installations that are owned by or fall under the responsibility of the Port Authority. In addition, Althenia Sando will be responsible for Waste collection services in the shared areas of the port facilities.
This contract encompasses the port areas managed by the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, specifically the ports of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Granadilla, Los Cristianos, La Palma, La Gomera, and La Estaca.
With this new contract, Althenia Sando further consolidates its position as a leading company in environmental services and port maintenance. In recent years, the company has delivered services such as cleaning land-based common areas at the Commercial Port of Vigo, cleaning and gardening at the Palmeral de las Sorpresas in the Port of Málaga, and maintenance of gardens and green areas for the Port Authority of Huelva, among others.
This latest project strengthens Althenia Sando’s presence in the Canary Islands and reaffirms its commitment to excellence in the management of essential public services—fully aligned with its Sustainability Master Plan.
