AENOR has certified Conacon Sando in information management using Building Information Modelling (BIM), in accordance with the international standard ISO 19650. This accreditation recognises the effective implementation of BIM management systems within the company, consolidating its commitment to technological innovation in the sustainable maintenance and conservation of infrastructure.
The certification authorises Conacon Sando to operate as a consultant, modeller and coordinator in civil engineering, strengthening its specialisation in BIM methodology and extending its application across the projects and services it develops.
This achievement has been achieved thanks to the implementation of the BIM Management System, a collaborative methodology that optimises construction project management throughout its entire life cycle via a digital model that centralises technical and operational information.
Operationally, Conacon Sando will increase the use of this methodology across more projects and services, improving coordination among all stakeholders, enhancing efficiency, and reducing both response times and associated costs.
Since the early 2010s, Sando has been integrating the BIM methodology into its projects. In 2019, the company launched the Rebecca innovation project, a pioneering initiative combining BIM and artificial intelligence to transform its working processes.
After previously certifying other group companies with the support of its Quality Systems Department, Sando has now expanded the scope of BIM methodology to the conservation and maintenance projects managed by Conacon Sando, further strengthening specialised BIM training for its technical teams.
Conacon Sando continues to apply BIM methodology, combining it with other data management technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), using tools like ArcGIS Online.
