The project for the comprehensive refurbishment of the police station in the Central District of Madrid has a built surface area of 4,760 m², built on a plot of 765 m², between Calle Leganitos 19 and Calle Fomento 24 in Madrid. It is an urban class building built in 1940 and acquired in 1944 by the State, which was converted into a police station.

The work carried out by Sando Infraestructuras y Proyectos has focused on the complete demolition of the interior partitions, the reinforcement of structures, the installation of new roofs, the cladding of facades with SATE (20 cm), the construction of new interior layouts and finishes, and the renovation of exterior woodwork.

The restructuring of the building has made it possible to create an operational centre to bring together in a single, modern and functional building the units and offices of the Police Headquarters and Secretariat; operational areas (the common areas, the Information Brigade, the Judicial Police Brigade, the Citizen Security Brigade, the Aliens and Documentation Brigade and the Scientific Police Brigade); the public service area; the detention area, and the general offices.
