Building refurbishment comprises the necessary actions in buildings of different categories and classes to reposition the asset in the market in the typology that has been decided (offices, housing, hotels, etc.).

The actions to be carried out in these buildings can be of different types depending on the state in which the building is. The current trends in building renovation and housing rehabilitation come from two directions. One is to rehabilitate buildings of heritage value and give them a more functional use.. This is the rehabilitation of old buildings, i.e. buildings in city centres such as former family palaces or large corporate buildings that need to be rehabilitated for their architectural value and to give them a more functional use.The other branch is the energy rehabilitation of buildings that are in line with sustainable construction and that want to improve them energetically through solutions in their enclosures and their installations to achieve final energy savings for their occupants but also to reduce CO2 emissions, also trying to get these buildings energy rated with their corresponding letter.
