Sando Construcción has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, one of the world’s most respected Sustainability rating platforms for corporate performance.
EcoVadis assesses Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) achievements, benchmarking companies’ performance against thousands of peers over the past year.
Sando earned its score thanks to a robust management system aligned with the platform’s stringent sustainability criteria.
The Silver Medal reflects Sando Construcción’s placement in the 92nd percentile, positioning the company within the top 8% of rated organisations worldwide.
According to EcoVadis’ Eighth Annual Business Sustainability Index, the 2024 evaluation covered more than 125,000 supplier sustainability ratings globally, with no sector-based segmentation.
As a global benchmark for resilient, sustainable supply chains, the EcoVadis rating provides significant strategic value in a market where ESG standards have become a key factor in competitiveness.
The platform assessed Sando’s performance in the areas of environment, ethics, labour and human rights practices, and sustainable procurement.
Sando approaches these areas with a firm commitment to continuous improvement, fully aware of its role in the construction sector, where environmental and social impacts are particularly significant.
Indeed, the company recently passed a sustainability audit by Achilles, earning certification from the rating body.
Sando channels this commitment through its 2025–2028 Sustainability Master Plan, which steers its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) management towards the consolidation of a value creation model with sustainability at its core.
This plan is fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda, and reflects the company’s commitment to all its stakeholder groups.
