Sando Construcción has renewed its participation in the “Excellence Mentoring Programme for the Development of Female STEM Talent”, a key component of the “Women and Engineering” project promoted by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAI).
The programme is designed to encourage young women to pursue STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) by offering a structured mentoring framework that increases the visibility and presence of women in these fields.
Through this initiative, postgraduate and post-master’s training scholarships are awarded to final-year undergraduate and master’s students enrolled in STEM programmes at universities across Spain that are affiliated with the scheme.
Sando Construcción, a long-standing collaborator since the programme’s first edition, has reaffirmed its commitment this year by providing a female mentor—reflecting the company’s broader pledge to support people and talent, in line with its Sustainability Master Plan.
Guidance and inspiration
According to the programme calendar, mentoring sessions are held from February through July, bringing together both mentors and students for a series of training and follow-up meetings. These sessions aim to inspire, motivate, and foster synergies, while helping participants explore new career pathways and develop a clearer vision of their professional future.
The programme is expected to conclude in September with the submission of a final report.
Sando Construcción participates in this initiative via the National Association of Independent Builders (ANCI), which has supported and promoted the Women and Engineering project since its inception.
