Empresa Municipal de Aguas de Málaga (Emasa) has awarded the Temporary Joint Venture (UTE) formed by Sando Agua and Conacon Sando the contract for the refurbishment of the Campo de Golf wastewater pumping station (EBAR), within the framework of Málaga City Council’s 2024-2029 water investment plan.
The contract, valued at €2,470,266.25 (including VAT), forms part of the first phase of a comprehensive overhaul of the sewerage system serving the Guadalmar and San Julián areas. This intervention will enable the progressive decommissioning of the existing Guadalmar pumping station, which is currently at risk due to coastal regression.
The upgrade of the Campo de Golf EBAR is essential for ensuring service continuity and enhancing the efficiency of the wastewater system in this strategically important coastal area of Málaga. The project is part of an ambitious municipal plan comprising more than 130 initiatives across all city districts, representing a total investment of over €100 million.
Sando Agua—the specialist division of Sando focused on the design, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure linked to the integrated water cycle—will bring its expertise and technological innovation in water resource management to the project.
