Sando Construcción has marked the completion of the structural works of the main building of the General University Hospital in Boadilla del Monte with a traditional flag-raising ceremony. The company is delivering the project in partnership with Sacyr for the healthcare provider Hospiten.
Construction of the Hospiten hospital complex is progressing well. Located in the Prado del Espino business park, the facility will feature 160 single inpatient rooms, 80 consulting rooms, an emergency department, intensive care unit, day hospital, and a surgical block with 17 operating theatres, among other essential services.
The hospital comprises 35,237.91 m² above ground level, arranged over a ground floor plus four upper floors, and a further 20,122.30 m² below ground, distributed across three basement levels.
The flag-raising ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Boadilla del Monte, Javier Úbeda, accompanied by members of his municipal government, the President of Hospiten, Juan José Hernández, architect Francisco Ortega, and Sando’s Area Director, Francisco Caballero, among others.
Once complete, the General University Hospital in Boadilla del Monte will become the second largest healthcare facility in the municipality, with a total built area of 55,000 m².
