La Línea de la Concepción Town Council has awarded Althenia Sando the contract to carry out the maintenance and conservation of green areas in the municipality, with a two-year extendable duration and a budget of 1.2 million euros. The project includes actions such as the inventory of the municipality’s trees and green areas, and the installation of automation for new risks. In addition, with the aim of protecting the biodiversity of the environment, the company will carry out work aimed at the annual replacement of species. It is also worth highlighting the integration of innovative systems in the project, with new specialised machinery, or the integration by the City Council of the Line of technology such as the Gecor App, which allows immediate management of possible incidents that occur related to public Roads. With these works, Althenia contributes to the creation of more sustainable spaces in the municipality, to turn them into authentic enclaves where you can enjoy nature in the city. To do so, as a company specialised in environmental solutions and committed to Sustainability, it will use efficient techniques that integrate environmental protection criteria in all the works.
At the contract signing ceremony, the mayor, Juan Franco, the councillor for Parks and Gardens, José María Matas, and Francisco Álvarez, Althenia’s area delegate, presented the innovations that the company will implement for the services provided in the city’s green areas. At the event, the mayor highlighted the contribution that Althenia will make to the municipality of La Línea de la Concepción, both in terms of improving the provision of municipal public services and the optimisation of its green areas, as well as the overall improvement of the city’s image.
