This month, Sando has taken part in two key initiatives to promote young talent and promote vocations related to engineering: the ESIEM 2026 Engineering and Employment Meeting and the VIII National Civil Engineering Olympiads.
ESIEM 2026, held at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, brought together 73 companies and institutions and numerous engineering students, consolidating itself as one of the main forums for connection between the university and the business sector.
In this edition, Sando had its own stand, attended by Human Resources technicians Luisa Prados and Malene Pareja, who presented to attendees the Young Talents program, the corporate initiative designed to promote the professional development of young engineers and technical profiles interested in starting their careers within the company.
In addition, Sando participated in two round tables of the program, “Smart energy systems and electricity markets”, where the engineer of Conacon Sando, Raúl Sánchez, participated, and “Engineering applied to new materials and industrial processes”, in which the engineer of Sando Construcción, Marcelo Villena, spoke.
These interventions allowed the students to convey the company’s vision of the main technological challenges of the sector and how Sando addresses them in real high-impact projects.
During this month, Sando has also been present at the VIII National Olympics of Civil Engineering, an initiative aimed at students of Compulsory Secondary Education that aims to test their ability to respond quickly and structural intuition through various technical tests carried out as a team.
On behalf of the company, the manager of Sando, Jacinto Gómez, attended, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the promotion of STEM vocations from an early age and to the dissemination of engineering as a professional field of the future.
Sando’s participation in these two events reflects its firm commitment to talent, innovation and the dissemination of engineering as a driver of social and economic development, in line with the objectives set out in its Sustainability Master Plan.
