On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Sando reaffirms its commitment to equal opportunities and the construction of diverse, inclusive and equitable work environments. The company continues to make progress in reducing the gender gap and promoting the presence of women in traditionally masculinised areas within the construction and services sector.
In this context, there is a sustained growth in the number of women who assume positions of responsibility, especially as chief engineers in construction, conservation and environmental projects. In addition to this progress, more professionals have been incorporated in key technological fields, such as the Information Systems department, where female talent is growing.
During 2025, Sando obtained several recognitions that cement the company’s commitment to equality. The company was positioned among the top ten of the III Ranking of Companies for Equality, prepared by the Woman Forward Foundation, becoming the only construction company in the entire country present in the top 10. The foundation also awarded the company the Special Bronze Award, highlighting its rise of more than twenty positions compared to the previous year and the consolidation of a more equitable and sustainable management model.
At the same time, the Malaga City Council recognised the company’s work by awarding the Malaga Egalitarian and Conciliatory Company badge, an award that underlines Sando’s work in promoting equal rights, work-life balance and the creation of respectful and inclusive workspaces for all its staff.
In line with these advances, Sando continues to work on the renewal and updating of its Equality Plans, integrated within its ESG strategy and aligned with its Sustainability Master Plan. This process incorporates reinforced measures in terms of conciliation, professional promotion and prevention of any form of discrimination, with a cross-cutting approach that involves all areas and hierarchical levels.
Sando thus maintains a firm strategy to ensure that equal opportunities are a structural pillar of its corporate culture and a key element in the development of internal talent.
